White Willow - Terminal Twilight (cd)

White Willow, one of Norway's most successful Progressive Rock bands of recent times, return after a five year absence with Terminal Twilight.

Creating a distinctively mysterious Scandinavian sound that encompasses mellotron-drenched retro prog, gothic folk, art pop and post-rock, the band's ambitious compositions combine sophisticated structures and harmonies with powerful playing and uncluttered production.

Main songwriter Jacob Holm-Lupo is joined by fellow band members, Sylvia Skjellestad, Mattias Olsson (Anglagard), Lars Fredrik Froislie (Wobbler's vintage synth maestro), Ketil Einarsen (Jaga Jazzist) and Ellen Andrea Wang. No-Man's Tim Bowness guests on the poignant Kansas Regrets.

Soaring Hackett-esque solos collide with demented Crimson-influenced riffs counterbalanced by compelling and ethereal song sections.

Stefano Panunzi - A Rose (cd)

Fjieri member Stefano Pununzi's second solo album from 2009 was a sublime mixture of exotic ballads, rich textures and Art Rock adventurism.

Features Mick Karn, Tim Bowness, Thomas Leer, Giancarlo Erra, Robbie Aceto, Sandra O'Neil, Theo Travis and Markus Reuter.

The Opium Cartel - Night Blooms (cd)

A delicate mix of electronically tinged folk-rock, art-pop and progressive rock, Jacob Holm-Lupo's folk/electronica/prog project features members of White Willow, Jaga Jazzist and Änglagård.

Guest vocalists include No-Man's Tim Bowness (singing on a version of Brian Eno's seminal By This River), Rachel Haden (Weezer, Jimmy Eat World, Todd Rundgren) and Rhys Marsh (Rhys Marsh & The Autumn Ghost, Anekdoten).

alias grace - storm blue evening (cdr)

Featuring hauntingly melancholy songs adorned with constantly shifting atmospheric arrangements, Alias Grace's second album 'Storm Blue Evening' develops further the intimate and beguiling nature of their charmed debut album and captures perfectly the maturing writing style of Irish singer-songwriter Sandra O'Neill and multi-instrumentalist Peter Chilvers. The album also features cameo appearances from Rob Jackson, Myke Clifford, Mike Bearpark and Tim Bowness.

alias grace - embers (cdr)

Debut album by the songwriters with the atmospheric touch, first released in 1998. The album also features 'Talk Simple', a reworking of the lyric of No-Man's 'Tulip', and a guest appearance by Tim Bowness.

a marble calm - surfacing (cd)

A loose collective centred around the nucleus of Peter Chilvers and reclusive marimba/vibraphone virtuoso Jon Hart, A Marble Calm's debut release is an ambitious collection combining textural instrumentals and drifting songscapes. Featuring Burning Shed regulars Tim Bowness, Sandra O'Neill and Theo Travis and clocking in at 74 minutes long, the album distinctively blends influences from Contemporary Classical (Gorecki/Pärt), ECM Jazz, Sigur Rós and the ambient songwriting of Sylvian, Eno and No-Man.

"Sandra O'Neill's singing on Gillian Welch's "I Dream a Highway" is heart-meltingly beautiful. I think this song deserves a new category - something like 'future country'. More, soon, please!" - Brian Eno

peter chilvers - he wrote this (cdr)

An album of fretless bass and chapman stick compositions from the Henry Fool / Samuel Smiles member, Peter Chilvers, with guest appearances from Tim Bowness and Sandra O'Neill.
