Charger - Confessions Of A Man Mad Enough To Live With Beasts (cd)
Charger have developed a distinctive style of brutal, electrifying rock. Combining guitar sludge with punked-up attitude, the Staffordshire quintet produce a chaotic cacophony of ultra-evil grinding bass, colossal riffs, pounding beats, and some decidedly disturbing vocals.
Released in 2000 via the Undergroove label, Chargeršs debut mini-album "The Foul Year Of Our Lord" created a major buzz for the quintet, and won them many fans as well as critical acclaim in all the national rock magazines. The bands profile was heightened at the same time when Amenšs Casey Chaos personally invited Charger to join them on their Kerrang! Sponsored UK tour alongside fellow UK heavy weights Raging Speedhorn.
Charger have continued their sonic abuse, touring and gigging with amongst others, Napalm Death, One Minute Silence and Cathedral.
In the summer of 2002 Charger signed to Peaceville Records.
The first fruits of the union was Charger?s first full length studio album, Confessions Of A Man Mad Enough To Live Amongst Beasts.
The album was recorded in Swansea?s Mighty Atom Studios (Black Eye Riot. Johnny Truant, Funeral For A Friend, Jacrew, etc etc) & was produced by legendary US producer Billy Anderson ? famed for his work with Eyehategod, Sleep & Neurosis.).
