Jethro Tull - The Jethro Tull Christmas Album / Christmas At St Brides (Live, 2008) (double cd)

An idiosyncratic and typically thoughtful Ian Anderson response to the time of mistletoe and holly, The Jethro Tull Christmas album - recorded in 2003 - was an unexpected critical and commercial success.

Featuring an organic folk-rock sound reminiscent of the band's mid to late 1970s incarnations, the album mixes new material, re-recordings of Jethro Tull's own suitably themed material and arrangements of traditional Christmas music.

A seasonal treat in itself, this edition comes with an extra disc featuring a live concert from 2008.

The perfect antidote to this, or any, year's X-Factor chart-topper.

Jethro Tull - Aqualung - Live (cd)

A 2005 live reading of one of Jethro Tull's most revered albums.

Contains bonus interviews.

Jethro Tull - The Very Best Of Jethro Tull (cd)

An 80 minute compilation of bite-sized Tull essentials through the ages.

Jethro Tull - J-Tull Dot Com (cd)

Jethro Tull's last major studio album - from 1999 - saw the band further develop the exotic fusion of World Music and Progressive influences that emerged on Roots To Branches, while also experimenting with more contemporary beats and production styles.

Jethro Tull - Roots To Branches (cd)

Jethro Tull's 1995 album was its most musically complex since the mid 1970s.

A fusion of World Music and Progressive influences combined with a pristine production, on its release Roots To Branches marked not only a stunning return to form, but a bright new beginning for a veteran band.

Digitally re-mastered version with Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Nightcap - The Unreleased Masters 1973-1991 (double cd)

A fascinating double cd insight into the Jethro Tull that almost got away.

Nightcap's first disc contains the infamous 'Chateau d'Isaster Tapes' recorded in August 1972. Much of the material would eventually end up in a radically re-arranged form as part of 1973's ambitious A Passion Play.

The second disc concentrates on album outtakes dating from 1974 to 1991.

Jethro Tull - A Little Light Music (cd)

A live album from 1992, which in its acoustic-driven arrangements both evokes the early Folk influences of Jethro Tull, while echoing the early 1990s trend for 'unplugged' performances.

Jethro Tull - Catfish Rising (cd)

Jethro Tull's first album of the 1990s continued in the more Hard Rock vein of its predecessor, Rock Island.

Quirky and blues-inflected miniatures showcasing the band at its most playful.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Out of stock.

Jethro Tull - Rock Island (cd)

The 1989 follow-up to the hugely successful Crest Of A Knave, found the band investigating a similar more Rock/Blues influenced territory.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Crest Of A Knave (cd)

Crest Of A Knave represented return to the roots Rock, Folk, Blues influences of yore, but with an added 1980s production clarity.

Famously, a winner of a Grammy for best Hard Rock/Metal performance, in truth the album is closer to the classic style of JT with contemporary Dire Straits influences than it is to Metallica.

Contains Ian Anderson's personal favourite song, Budapest.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra track and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Under Wraps (cd)

The last of Jethro Tull's 1980s synth dominated releases, Under Wraps is certainly more Thomas Dolby than Aqualung.

An intelligent and credible attempt to reinvent the band, the album contains some of Ian Anderson's most inventive vocal performances and lyrics.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Broadsword And The Beast (cd)

The most popular of JT's synth-era albums.

Digitally re-mastered edition with 8 extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - A / Slipstream (cd/dvd)

A new direction for a new decade, 'A' marked a radical departure for Jethro Tull revealing a synth dominated sound far removed from the more rustic approach on preceding releases Stormwatch and Heavy Horses.

Initially conceived as an Ian Anderson solo venture, the album featured prominent contributions from Eddie Jobson (Roxy Music, Zappa, UK) on keyboards and electric violin.

This re-mastered edition of 'A' comes with its 1981 visual companion 'Slipstream', which contains concert footage from the 'A' tour and studio videos of classic material such as Dun Ringill and Sweet Dream.

Please note the DVD is PAL.

Jethro Tull - Stormwatch (cd)

The last in Jethro Tull's late 1970s Folk Rock trilogy, Stormwatch is one of the darkest and most underrated of the band's albums.

A dark reflection of dark political times, the music serves Ian Anderson's doomy observations well. Contains the classic acoustic piece Dun Ringill and the powerful epic Dark Ages.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Live At Madison Square Garden 1978 (dvd/cd)

On 14th October 1978, performing at Madison Square Garden, Jethro Tull became the first rock group to appear live from America on British TV.

This release of Live At Madison Square Garden 1978 on DVD (and CD), features audio and video of many of the band's most popular tracks, such as Aqualung, Songs From the Wood, Thick as a Brick and Heavy Horses.

The DVD (NTSC Region 0) is in Dolby 5.1 surround and features the entire 50 minute TV broadcast plus seven audio tracks.

The package comes with a booklet containing notes by Ian Anderson.

Jethro Tull - Bursting Out (double cd)

Jethro Tull's entry into the 1970s double live album stakes was the enduring fan favourite Bursting Out.

Released in 1978, following the release of Heavy Horses, the album is a powerful summation of a then decade long career.

Jethro Tull - Heavy Horses (cd)

The second in Jethro Tull's late 1970s Folk Rock trilogy was the tougher sounding Heavy Horses.

If Songs From The Wood represented the fantasy of a rural idyll, Heavy Horses depicts the often harsh realities of 'the country life'.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Songs From the Wood (cd)

Fan favourite Songs From The Wood was seen as the first in the band's Folk Rock trilogy (Heavy Horses and Stormwatch followed).

This 1976 release highlights the band at its most playful and due to its lush production and more noticeable use of keyboards is perhaps one of the band's most obviously Progressive Rock orientated releases.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Too Old To Rock 'N' Roll: Too Young To Die (cd)

Like Benefit before it, Too Old To Rock 'N' Roll has never got the credit it's due.

A Rock Opera containing some of the band's most anthemic Rock songs (the title track being the most famous example) and some of its most poignant and delicate acoustic ballads (From A Dead Beat To An Old Greaser, Salamander, Bad-Eyed And Loveless), Too Old is one of the unsung gems of Jethro Tull's remarkable catalogue.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - The Minstrel In The Gallery (cd)

Jethro Tull's classic 1975 offering blended acoustic singer-songwriter, Classical and complex Hard Rock influences in a unique way.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Warchild (cd)

Following the ambitious long-form diversions of Thick As A Brick and A Passion Play, 1974's Warchild saw a return to short, sharp songwriting.

Features the fan favourite Skating Away On The Thin Ice Of The New Day and some wonderful orchestrations courtesy of David Palmer.

Digitally re-mastered edition with 7 extra tracks and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - A Passion Play (enhanced cd)

Consisting of one long piece, alongside Thick As A Brick, 1973's A Passion Play is Jethro Tull's most overtly Progressive and conceptual release.

Featuring a complex, poetic narrative framed by the most adventurous music of the band's career, the album offers dazzling virtuoso instrumental passages, evocative synthesiser sequences, and fuses Folk, Jazz and Rock influences in a strikingly unique, wholly Jethro Tull way.

This cd-rom enhanced, digitally re-mastered reissue includes the video for The Story Of The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles and liner notes by Ian Anderson.

Jethro Tull - Aqualung - 40th Anniversary Collector's Edition (LP/Double CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/Hardback Book)

A commemorative Collector's Edition of Jethro Tull's classic 1971 album, featuring new stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixes by Steven Wilson.

The box set contains 2 cds, a 180g audiophile LP in replica gatefold sleeve, plus dvd and blu-ray discs containing a 5.1 mix of the album and four bonus tracks.

The superb package comes with a 48 page hardback book featuring detailed liner notes, a new Ian Anderson interview, Q&A's with engineer John Burns, notes from Steven Wilson, lyrics, rare photos, and reflections from Jeffrey Hammond-Hammond, Martin Barre, Clive Bunker, Barrie Barlow, Glenn Cornick and more.

Jethro Tull - Benefit (cd)

Wedged between acknowledged classics Stand Up and Aqualung, Jethro Tull's 1970 album Benefit is often unfairly overlooked.

A sometimes powerful, sometimes delicate fusion of singer-songwriter and hard rock influences, the lyrics are amongst the most personal in the band's history.

Digitally re-mastered edition with extra tracks (including the single Witch's Promise) and Ian Anderson sleeve notes.

Jethro Tull - Stand Up (cd)

Jethro Tull's brilliant sophomore release from 1969.

Digitally re-mastered reissue from 2001, with 4 extra tracks and liner notes by Ian Anderson.

'A crucial album.' - Popmatters

Jethro Tull - This Was (Collector's Edition) (double cd)

Jethro Tull's rough and ready Blues influenced debut from 1968 is a world away from what the band became, but still boasts superb performances with hints of the Hard Rock, Folk and Jazz elements that Ian Anderson would develop further on later works such as Benefit and Aqualung.

This double cd Collector's Edition features a new stereo album mix, extra tracks (including two BBC radio sessions) and a re-mastered mono mix.

Comes in a deluxe digi-pack featuring a detailed booklet.
