Crispian Mills - Healing Hands (7 inch vinyl)

Kula Shaker front-man Crispian Mills released this limited edition vinyl 7" - produced by Warp label artist Mark Pritchard - in 2010.

Following sales of over a million for both K and Pigs And Astronaughts, in 2000 Crispian Mills sought out a new challenge and a break from Kula Shaker. Mills hired the services of Mark Pritchard (Harmonic 313, Troubleman, Global Communications and many more) and David Brinkworth (Harmonic 33, Farout Recordings) and set off to make a solo album recording in both Cornwall and on David Gilmour's houseboat studio in London.

Unfortunately, the album never got released, but 10 years later Ho Hum Records unearthed two gems from the period - Healing Hands and Be Merciful - and released them on the 7" vinyl format.

Lead-track Healing Hands has a 1960's Kings Road Donovan-esque swagger, while the b-side displays what Crispian does so well, mystical folk/psych reminiscent of some of the finer moments on the Kula Shaker debut K.

Please note, there are very few copies remaining of this one-off pressing.

Tracks

1. Healing Hands (3:51)
2. Be Merciful (2:17)
