The Nice - Ars Longa Vita Brevis (CD)

Released in November 1968, Ars Longa Vita Brevis picked up ecstatic reviews at the time of its release, with Melody Maker calling it, 'A major breakthrough in pop group experimentation.'

The album's complex and ambitious title track - an ELP blueprint of sorts - took up the whole of the second side and featured the brass and string sections of The London Philharmonic Orchestra and highlighted the early compositional artistry of Keith Emerson.

This enhanced reissue features four bonus tracks, including their controversial version of Bernstein's 'America' which gave the group its biggest hit single.

Jefferson Airplane - Flight Box (3CD)

Capturing the group at the peak of its powers, this 3CD box set features two legendary concerts from Jefferson Airplane recorded at famous venues in the band's hometown.

The first concert, recorded at Golden Gate Park on 7th May 1969, with the group's classic line-up, features live favourites from the start of the band's career including the band's two biggest hit singles, White Rabbit and Somebody To Love.

The second concert was the group's last-ever performance, at the Winterland Arena, on 22nd September 1972.

Gong - Magick Brother (CD)

Recorded in September 1969 and released in early 1970 under the joint names of Daevid Allen and Gilly Smyth, Magick Brother is now recognised as the first ever Gong album.

The core duo were supported by a group of highly-accomplished musicians including Earl Freeman, who had worked with Albert Ayler, Didier Malherbe and Rachid Hoari.

Containing songs such as 'Rational Anthem' and 'Gong Song' and featuring some fine distorted and processed guitar playing by Allen, 'Magick Brother' is a wonderful precursor to Gong's better known, later adventures.

This 3 CD set collects classic tracks from International Artists? flagship acts like The 13th Floor Elevators, The Red Crayola, The Bubble Puppy and Golden Dawn alongside a host of sought-after lesser known gems from the likes of Thursday?s Children, The Chaynes, The Rubayaat, Sterling Damon and The Shayds. The emotional range is remarkable for a debut album - from the searing acid punk of Evolution, through the classic pop-inflected psych of My Time into the brooding introspection of Reaching Out To You.

Gong - You (cd)

Recorded in late 1973, 'You' is the final instalment of Gong's highly regarded 'Radio Gnome Invisible' trilogy, and is considered to be the most sophisticated and best produced album in the band's history.

It was the last Gong album made before the departures of both its founder member and driving force Daevid Allen and its legendary guitarist Steve Hillage, who was soon to embark on his highly successful solo career.
