2017's The Optimist is Anathema's first album since 2014's spellbinding Distant Satellites and contains the band's darkest, most challenging and unexpected material.

For the first time in years Anathema recorded as a live band for an album, capturing an energy normally only present on stage.

Formats: Deluxe 4 disc, 40 page hardback book edition including a CD of bonus tracks, 5.1 surround sound and high-res stereo mixes on both DVD and DTS lossless blu-ray, and artwork by Travis Smith; DTS lossless blu-ray edition in both 5.1 surround sound and hi-res stereo; CD in digipak; double 180g vinyl in gatefold sleeve; CD/DVD-V in Mediabook, featuring the album in 5.1 surround sound and hi-res stereo.

Douglas Harr's lavish 378 page book celebrates live performances staged in Los Angeles during the 1970s by more than thirty 'classic' and Progressive rock bands of the era. Artists chronicled include David Bowie, Camel, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Kansas, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Happy The Man, Pink Floyd, UK, Rush, Supertramp, The Who, Yes and others.

A true labour of love, the book contains Harr's vivid recollections of the concerts plus rare live images from some of the best photographers of the era, including the legendary likes of Fin Costello and Armando Gallo (who provides an introduction to the book).
