Scintilla (cd/blu-ray / double vinyl pre-orders)

Nosound's fifth studio album Scintilla introduces a wholly new musical and visual approach for the band. Inspired by personal upheaval and a desire for change, Scintilla is an emotionally complex and musically direct work presenting a stripped-down set of compositions.

Anathema's Vincent Cavanagh lends his distinctive vocals to two songs, and acclaimed Italian singer Andrea Chimenti co-writes and sings on one track.

Available as a deluxe CD/Blu-Ray in Mediabook with a 24 page booklet (the Blu-Ray contains HD stereo and 5.1 surround sound mixes, plus additional video content) and as an audiophile double 180g 45rpm vinyl edition in a gatefold cover with booklet and poly-lined inner bags. The vinyl version also includes a download card featuring the vinyl master at 320kbps.

Vinyl pre-orders come with signed A4 prints. CD/Blu-Ray pre-orders come with signed vinyl cards/stickers. While stocks last, all orders come with a transparent plectrum featuring the new Nosound logo.

Miroslav Vitous

Music Of Weather Report (cd pre-order)

The great Czech bassist returns once more to the music of Weather Report, the group he co-founded with Joe Zawinul and Wayne Shorter in 1970.

Well-known repertoire re-explored includes Birdland, Seventh Arrow, Scarlet Woman, Pinocchio and Morning Lake. Juggler's Issue, a piece which the first Weather Report line-up played but didn't record is also given a new interpretation.

Driven by the astonishing double drumming of Gerald Cleaver and Nasheet Waits, Miroslav's band make the material its own, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the fondly remembered Jazz innovators.

Pre-order for 10th June release.
