Gentle Giant

Octopus (cd/blu-ray / cd pre-orders)


Octopus, from 1972, was one of Gentle Giant's most accomplished and accessible releases, blending the band's abundant imagination with a collection of strong melodies and focused performances.

Available as 2015 Alucard label cd/blu-ray and cd editions featuring a new Steven Wilson stereo mix of the album plus a 15 minute live performance of Excerpts From Octopus, the blu-ray also includes the mixes in 96/24 PCM and in DTS 5.1 Surround Sound Master Audio, as well as instrumental mixes of 5 of the original 8 tracks from the album in 96/24 PCM, and a flat transfer of the original mix of the album (taken directly from the original quarter inch tape).

New sketches by Roger Dean (who produced the original UK album cover) are included in the packaging, as well as artwork from the US version.

Gazpacho

Molok (cd / vinyl pre-orders)


The sixth album in a series of concept records that started with the critically acclaimed Night in 2007, Molok is the ninth studio release from Norway's premier post-progressive art rockers.

Molok features guest musicians Stian Carstensen from Farmers Market on accordion and ethnic instruments, and music archaeologist Gjermund Kollveit playing the aga stone (the oldest known instrument ever to be featured on a CD).

Available as a cd in digipak and a black 180g vinyl edition in a gatefold cover (with an MP3 download code included).

Opeth

Deliverance And Damnation (various formats pre-order)


Originally intending to release a double album, Opeth issued Deliverance and Damnation 5 months apart in 2002 and 2003. Over 15 years later, the wrong has been righted!

Available as a 2CD/2DVD-A 'bookset', and a triple heavyweight vinyl version.

There are new stereo and 5.1 mixes by Steve Wilson (Deliverance) and Bruce Soord (Damnation), and liner notes from Mikael Akerfeldt from Opeth and Jerry Ewing of Prog Magazine. The CD/DVD-A edition is presented in a beautiful 32 page book set

Arnold Layne (10 inch vinyl single pre-order)


A ten inch vinyl single (US import) featuring two live versions of the early Pink Floyd classic Arnold Layne taken from David Gilmour's 2006 tour.

Arnold Layne is sung by David Bowie and Richard Wright respectively, while a version of Syd Barrett's Dark Globe is performed and sung by David Gilmour.
