a marble calm - blue turns to grey (vinyl)

Blue Turns To Grey is the second album from the experimental collective centred around the nucleus of Peter Chilvers and reclusive marimba/vibraphone virtuoso Jon Hart.

The album's first side includes a new version of Alias Grace's 'Feel the Hush', with Sandra O'Neill singing, and a pared down version of Steve Adey's Mississippi, which originally appeared on his acclaimed 2006 release, 'All Things Real'. Side Two comprises 'Blue Turns to Grey', an ambitious twenty two minute suite awash with assorted keyboards, manipulated marimbas and layered vocals loops.

A uniquely presented limited edition clear vinyl release on the Dutch 'Tonefloat' label, part Ambient exploration and part Minimalist suite, the album continues to develop the cinematic and atmospheric approaches introduced on the duo's debut release, Surfacing.
