Following the release of the acclaimed Fear of a Blank Planet album comes this mini album (29 minutes of music) containing four lengthy tracks written during the same sessions, completed over the Summer, and now presented as a cohesive self contained PT work in their own right. The title track is an instrumental featuring Robert Fripp on lead guitar, and the whole EP moves through the full PT spectrum of atmospheric ambience, melodic hooks, and crushing riffs.
This Peaceville edition of Nil Recurring contains the same material as the Transmission version, but comes packaged in a super jewel case with textured slipcase, instead of the fold out digipack.

bass communion - ghosts on magnetic tape (double cd)
Now repressed as a double disc including the full length Andrew Liles reconstruction, which SW described as being "even creepier than the original!", this is the third full length album by SW's Bass Communion project and is a one hour work divided into 5 distinct sections. The album is inspired by alleged tape recordings of the dead communicating with the living world, paranormal research most famously practised by scientist Konstantine Raudive in the 1970's. This is a spectral and brooding album, rich with dark clouds of sound, beautiful textures, creepy drones and eerie crackling. It is housed in a beautiful Japanese style thick card gatefold mini LP sleeve. SW considers this to be one of the finest recordings he has ever made.
john wesley - shiver (cd)
Variously described as 'lyrically sensitive and musically dynamic' and as being 'the final flesh on the acoustic bones of his previous releases', Shiver, John Wesley's fifth studio album, amply demonstrates how John's work has matured over the course of the last decade.
Mixed by Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson, Shiver's guitar-driven acoustic and electric songs draw from a diversity of inspirations including alternative, progressive, classic rock and folk styles. Perhaps the finest and most well-rounded release so far in John's impressive career.
