Axegrinder - Rise of the Serpent Men (CD)
Axegrinder appeared in the first wave of Peaceville bands, at the end of the 1980’s.
Their strong Amebix-like grind sensibility appealed to punks and metallers alike and this, their first and only album, featured the amazing artwork of Jeff Walker (Carcass).
The band played with Paradise Lost in their early days and at the legendary Peaceville Mischievous Night All dayer on Nov 4th 1989.
Axegrinder became Wartech after their drummer left and took on much more of a Voivoid style with great panache! This however, never got beyond demo stage – until today where all the songs are available for the first time as extra tracks!!
Axegrinder are legends in Japan and are currently reforming with an aim to tour there.
