Dark Sanctuary - Exaudi Vocem Meam I (CD)

Exaudi Vocem Meam I was originally released in 2005 and was the Dark Sanctuary's fifth album and the first section of a two part concept.

As is consistent with the band's albums to date, they create dark and emotional ambient soundscapes in the vein of Dead Can Dance and Arcana. Beautiful female vocals backed up by strings, piano, and a broad array of instrumentation plus a very diverse mix of French, German, Latin and English lyrics help enrich the atmosphere.

The album features a guest appearance from Theodor Schwadorf of The Vision Bleak on the track ‘Dein kalter Stein’.

Candlemass - From the 13th Sun (CD)

Originally released in 1999, From the 13th Sun is a highly regarded release in the band's catalogue. Critically acclaimed, its reputation as one of the stronger Candlemass albums has only grown over the years.

In stark contrast to their earlier output of sweeping epic compositions, this album consists of a more modern doom sound mixed with some experimental effects and psychedelic rock influences to create an unusual and interesting album which could be described as an intriguing fusion of Black Sabbath's greatest moments and Hawkwind’s space-rock sensibilities.

This edition also includes 3 bonus tracks not included on the original album.

Shining - IV - The Eerie Cold (CD)

IV - The Eerie Cold, Shining’s fourth album, was originally released in 2005 and features drum work by Hellhammer (Mayhem/Dimmu Borgir). The album also features lyrical contributions from Nattefrost of Carpathian Forest. It was recorded at the Slaughterhouse studio in Sweden and was produced by Niklas Kvarforth and Rickard Bengtsson, who has worked with Arch Enemy, among many others.

Solefald - The Linear Scaffold (CD)

Solefald (the name taken from the Old Norse word for ‘sunset’) formed in Norway in 1995.

The Linear Scaffold was their debut full-length album and was originally released in 1997. It was seen as a breakthrough in black metal at the time incorporating countless fresh ideas such as jazzy guitar passages and alternative instruments such as piano to concoct an atmosphere altogether more interesting than many of their peers.

Still as fresh sounding today, this symphonic black metal album stands out with its dynamic twists and poetic imagery from the words of Cornelius, further enhanced with the inclusion of ‘When The Moon Is On The Wave’ written by Lord Byron.

Candlemass - Dactylis Glomerata / Abstrakt Algebra II (2CD)

Darkthrone - F.O.A.D. Special Edition

F.O.A.D. Special Edition comes in a clambox and includes an exclusive postcard set and poster. This item can also be bought with a limited 'Fuck off and Die' T-Shirt.

2007 was significant in the world of black metal, as it marked the 20th year of one of the most respected and influential bands ever - Darkthrone. The legendary Norwegian duo return with a new set of tracks and sounding as free as ever on this fine slab of evil rock…black metal…whatever people want to call it.

Writing began on ‘FOAD’ straight after the completion of last year’s acclaimed ‘The Cult is Alive’. Recorded, mixed & all self-produced once again at the band’s own Necrohell 2 studios throughout the first half of 2007, this labour of love (or is it hate?) travels deep into the open seas of a rich musical heritage; a celebration of rock and metal; moving further from the pure primitive black metal they were once known for, but still embracing the roots of what made this tree grow so far and wide. Yet still, Darkthrone only exist according to their OWN rules. Summarised perfectly by Fenriz, FOAD “SOUNDS LIKE A WAR BETWEEN ATLANTIS AND THE REST OF PLANET!”.

Features the tracks ‘Wisdom of the Dead’ & ‘Canadian Metal’ in their original versions, as opposed to the recent ‘NWOBHM – New Wave Of Black Heavy Metal’ EP’s alternate renditions of the songs.

The cover artwork comes courtesy of artist Dennis Dread, the man responsible for the latest ABSCESS album art for ‘Horrorhammer’, which was released on Darkthrone’s own Peaceville sub-label , Tyrant Syndicate Productions.
