Classica was Novembre’s third album, and was originally released in 1999. Intricate melodic guitar passages effortlessly skip between acoustic atmosphere and distorted heaviness to give a good contrast to the album’s overall sense of mood. The vocals of Carmelo Orlando further heighten the emotion with impressive clean vocal passages blending with the classic ‘growled’ style so familiar to the genre.

Darkthrone return this autumn with their 14th album, a perfect fusion of blackened rock, metal and punk. ‘Dark Thrones & Black Flags’ is a continuation of the Darkthrone sound, style and uncompromising attitude witnessed on the acclaimed 2007 album ‘F.O.A.D’.


Recorded and produced by the band themselves at Necrohell II studios, Norway, ‘Dark Thrones & Black Flags’ is an exercise in pushing the conventions of the narrow perception of what should make black metal, becoming more timeless and faithful to its spirit than most could ever wish for in the process.

This 2 disc features the band’s classic 1995 album, ‘The Silent Enigma’, fully re-mastered on CD alongside a DVD featuring promo videos and a live performance from Krakow, Poland in March 1996.

The Silent Enigma was originally released in the summer of ‘95 and is the first release on which guitarist Vincent Cavanagh took over the vocal duties of recently departed Darren White. Where Darren’s vocals were guttural Vincent’s style pushed the possibilities for Anathema onwards and upwards, with a scope and breath beyond his years. Lauded by the metal press, the album has since been described by Terrorizer magazine as ‘one of Anathema's best’. This special edition of the album also features 2 bonus tracks.

Gothic' was THE album responsible for a whole sub genre of metal, GOTHIC DOOM METAL, upon its release in 1991. Creating a more melancholy & atmospheric form of doom metal, with the introduction of the distinctive & unmistakable Paradise Lost lead guitar melodies, the band was quickly propelled to the forefront of pioneering extreme metal bands of the early nineties.



The ‘Gothic’ album was recorded in late 1990/early 1991 at the renowned Academy Studios in Yorkshire; a studio responsible for classic recordings from bands such as My Dying Bride, Anathema, Cradle of Filth, Bal Sagoth, among many others.



Along with the album, this special edition contains a very rare video performance from a 1991 Paradise Lost show (that evening supported by My Dying Bride & Pitch Shifter) & features classic tracks from their first 2 albums.

Originally released in 2002, III : Angst was Shining’s third album.

More compositionally sophisticated than their previous releases, Angst found the band creating a more subtle and complex variation on the sinister and oppressive suicidal Black Metal that marked their first two albums.

Their dark materials at their very best.

The Merciless was the brutal 2004 masterpiece from Aura Noir, and the first release on Darkthrone's Peaceville imprint, Tyrant Syndicate.

A 2 disc live set featuring a string of Candlemass favourites from their early albums, including songs from the all-time Doom Metal classics, 'Epicus Doomicus Metalicus' & 'Nightfall'.

Mostly recorded in 1990, the performances highlight the enigmatic and unmistakable vocal presence of Messiah Marcolin, and the powerful theatricality of the live Candlemass sound.

Additionally features live bonus track recordings taken from the Dynamo Festival (Holland) in 1988.

Originally released in 2004, Les Mémoires Blessées was the band’s fourth album and contained an even stronger, more vibrant production than its predecessors. The album is surprisingly dynamic - combining classical music, gothic atmospheres and dark ambience alongside occasional elements of modern popular music. Overall the album is orchestration of the highest order, topped with heavenly female vocals.


Opera IX were always more than just a straight-forward Black Metal band.

Mixing elements of thrash and Death Metal with prominent symphonic elements and folk influences, the band was known for its strong occult themes and Paganist inspirations.

Originally released in 2004, Anphisbena was recorded & mastered at Only-Music studio, Bruino and produced by the band with Carlo Miori.

Without doubt, the band’s biggest machete to the face to date, Hades Rise embraces the spirit of bands like Venom to serve up a life-threatening overdose of skull-splitting, ear-busting filth and fury.

Self-produced in Apollyon’s cellar studio, the album contains guest appearances from Danny Coralles (Autopsy, Abscess) and the band's former guitarist, Blasphemer (ex-Mayhem).

Originally released in 1999, From the 13th Sun is a highly regarded release in the band's catalogue. Critically acclaimed, its reputation as one of the stronger Candlemass albums has only grown over the years.

In stark contrast to their earlier output of sweeping epic compositions, this album consists of a more modern doom sound mixed with some experimental effects and psychedelic rock influences to create an unusual and interesting album which could be described as an intriguing fusion of Black Sabbath's greatest moments and Hawkwind’s space-rock sensibilities.

IV - The Eerie Cold, Shining’s fourth album, was originally released in 2005 and features drum work by Hellhammer (Mayhem/Dimmu Borgir). The album also features lyrical contributions from Nattefrost of Carpathian Forest. It was recorded at the Slaughterhouse studio in Sweden and was produced by Niklas Kvarforth and Rickard Bengtsson, who has worked with Arch Enemy, among many others.
