Acting as a bridge between 2008's Schoolyard Ghosts and the 2009 concert DVD Mixtaped, Wherever There Is Light features 2 new studio songs, 2 recordings taken from No-Man's 2008 mini-tour and videos for Wherever There Is Light and All The Blue Changes (live).

A distinctive combination of haunting melodies and cinematic production, Schoolyard Ghosts sees No-Man expanding its sonic palette by collaborating with, amongst others, Theo Travis, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, and the London Session Orchestra (arranged by Dave Stewart).
