Originally released in 1990, Dave and Barbara's epic, densely-textured The Big Idea is now available in a lavish new special edition. The remastered album ships in a full colour Digipak with a 20-page booklet featuring new artwork, archive photos and the continuing history of Stewart/Gaskin (started in the special edition of Broken Records - The Singles) told by the musicians. The inclusion of the previously unreleased bonus track 'Like The Ocean' brings the total running time to 69 minutes. Copies signed by Dave & Barbara are also available. Stewart / Gaskin
Keyboardist Dave Stewart and vocalist Barbara Gaskin started their careers in Canterbury-related English bands of the late '60s before joining forces in 1981. Their first single 'It's My Party' was a number one hit worldwide, launching them on a sophisticated pop-based trajectory which has lasted to the present day. All of Dave & Barbara's recent and reissued CDs can be ordered here.
