Keyboardist Dave Stewart and vocalist Barbara Gaskin started their careers in Canterbury-related English bands of the late '60s before joining forces in 1981. Their first single 'It's My Party' was a number one hit worldwide, launching them on a sophisticated pop-based trajectory which has lasted to the present day. All of Dave & Barbara's recent and reissued CDs can be ordered here. You can also legally download their first two albums in song or album format - please note that these downloads are not the remastered versions which appear on the recent Special Edition CDs.

The Big Idea (Special Edition)

Originally released in 1990, Dave and Barbara's epic, densely-textured The Big Idea is now available in a lavish new special edition. The remastered album ships in a full colour Digipak with a 20-page booklet featuring new artwork, archive photos and the continuing history of Stewart/Gaskin (started in the special edition of Broken Records - The Singles) told by the musicians. The inclusion of the previously unreleased bonus track 'Like The Ocean' brings the total running time to 69 minutes. Copies signed by Dave & Barbara are also available. Broken Records - The Singles (Special Edition)

Along with the remaster of As Far As Dreams Can Go, the remastered special edition of Dave Stewart and Barbara Gaskin's Broken Records - The Singles provides a complete document of Dave & Barbara's releases between 1981-1986 (including all the tracks from the US 14-track compilation Up From The Dark).

Both albums come in a full colour Digipak format with a 20-page booklet featuring new artwork, a history of Stewart/Gaskin told by the musicians and photos from the duo's personal archive. Between them, both albums contain 40 minutes of extra material.

The TLG Collection is now shipping. The CD is a 66-minute, 14-track compilation of rarities including demos, bonus tracks, alternative mixes and TV soundtrack songs recorded between 1983 and 2001 (click on 'more' for a full track listing). A special bonus CDR to accompany the release of the Stewart / Gaskin album Green and Blue. Included are two unreleased tracks originally intended for the album, a remake of a classic '60s instrumental and a real rarity: an extended version of Dave & Barbara's song 'Henry & James' which appeared on a Keyboard magazine Flexidisc in December 1985.
