Jakko M Jakszyk

jakko m. jakszyk - the bruised romantic glee club (double cd)

The Bruised Romantic Glee Club is the 5th and most personal solo album by composer Jakko M. Jakszyk.

Features Gavin Harrison, Robert Fripp, Mel Collins, Mark King (Level 42), Dave Stewart and Hugh Hopper amongst others.

“Deliciously Progtastic.” - Classic Rock (8/10)

“An intensely personal trip through his past…. Drool over Jakszyk’s multi-instrumental writing, daring sonic juxtapositions, daunting time signatures and mania for the Mellotron.” - Uncut Magazine (4/5)

64 Spoons - Landing On A Rat Column (cd)

Flying in the face of late 1970s fashion, 64 Spoons produced a sophisticated fusion of Jazz Rock, Canterbury, Funk and Pop influences.

The band's complex arrangements and gently humorous lyrics, combined with stunning solos and surprisingly sweet and soulful melodies, led to the creation of an original and very English music that provided an artistic springboard for the highly talented likes of Jakko M. Jakszyk and Ted Emmett.

Fans of artists such as Hatfield & The North and Allan Holdsworth should find much to like in the Spoons quirky mix of whimsical tunes and precocious playing.
